more. california embarked on a vast program to build highways, bridges and roads. most of the structures were constructed before we knew about climate change. last year, you authorized another big project. high speed rail. yes, it's bold, but so is everything about california. electrified trains are a part of the future. has 5,000 miles of high speed rail and intend to double that.

>> governor brown speaking for just about 25 minutes. he said it would be the longest speech ever. this is his 11th state of the state address. covered areas we expected including funding, he introduced a new funding formula that he will bring to the legislature that takes into account challenges that students have. he talked about high-speed rail and getting water from the delta through california. as expected and as the political experts predicted, it was very optimistic. he talked about the balanced budget, moving forward and being positive. he ended the speech saying two years ago they were writing our obituary for the state of

>> this 21-year-old greg, identified by police saying he ran into the guy's house. took a tv off the tv stand then dumped the contents of a vacuum cleaner, and it still wasn't over yet. >> he's laying on my floor. he's running through my house naked, tearing up stuff. >> he's naked? >> yes, naked. >> on the roof? how does he get on the roof naked? >> crazy, is right. >> at one point he got up and ran towards their son's room, and according to police, the wife took out a .38 revolver and fired three shots at the suspect as a warning. he dropped on the floor. at which point, they allege he started to -- touch himself. >> ah -- >> i don't even comprehend it. >> it's homeowner got a shotgun and told him to lay down and held him there until police arrived. >> look, i'm not a doctor, or a detective, but i'd like to say that he might have been using -- >> observation, steven. not immediately take ton jail. after police used a taser to

subdue him, they took him to a hospital for treatment and he is facing charges. >> i wonder who the hell he? he's naked and running through my damn house. guys, be prepared to be amazed by these pictures pap guy names gavin went to death valley national park to get some pretty incredible footage. they went to death valley for the night of december 13th, 2012. that was the night of the peak of the geminid meteor shower. they went to get the darkest sky possible so that they could put together a pretty incredible time lapse video. >> now, remember, i said be prepared to be amazed. now, the footage itself is amazing enough. but keep watching really closely. you see some of the meteors. you see things start to fly around in the sky. did you see that? >> yeah. >> for about five seconds, you're going to see something that looks like a meteor, but

then you realize it's kind of in a circular pattern, almost like a pinball bouncing around in the sky. >> oh. what is that? >> like two loops and then it gets out of there. >> this video is getting a ton of attention because of that five-second piece of video. >> nobody know what's it is. >> people are speculating that this is a ufo. but to tell us more about the attention, we have the photographer behind this video via skype "right this minute." gavin what do you say that this is in that five-seconds of video? >> looks kind of like a plane at first, but the way the photography works, one second there is almost about 12 minutes of actual time. so too slow for a plane, and definitely no noise at all. i believe there's some kind of military base in the area as well. so my theory is kind of that it's some sort of experimental plane. >> what about a satellite? >> yeah. you see the satellite in time lapses. usually whats is you kind of catch them going just vertically across. it's pretty unlikely that's that

some surveillance video pointing at the curb of this house in new york city. the trash guys show up early in the morning. throw some of the trash in their truck. >> what? >> knock one can over around kind of just dump some of the other stuff on the ground. get the neighbor's trash and then take off. >> it looked like he kind of spilled some of that trash on purpose. >> kind of looks that way, from the video, and the poster of his video claims that it's retaliation, for a call he made to the city, complaining about the guys not picking up his trash a week earlier. so these guys probably heard tab from their bosses, and this is their way to pay this guy back. >> that's what this guy is claiming. you know what? they didn't pick up my trash a week ago. i called 311, made a complaint, and the next week, this happened. >> even if he hadn't called and complained, it's still them not doing their job, which is to

the winter x games start tonight but some of the competition has been going on for a little bit on their website called the real snow competition. the best snowboarders asked to commit a minute-long video and people can vote on who they think is the best. there's going to be two awards. the viewers' choice award and an x game judging panel. some of these guys use some incredible things using anything that they can come across. rails, steps, roofs. dumpsters. this is awesome. set up like the x games. >> i was going to say, this is kind of the real competition. >> on the x games website, the two guys that made it into the finals are air roe atala and frank april. let me show you a little bit of frank april. >> wow. >> oh, whoa. he went down two rails at the same time. this is incredible. goes up railing, jump, does a back flip and lands on the down side of that rail.
